Residential Home Improvement Services in New Jersey

What can I say? Yes! They are awesome. They are honest, fair priced, hard working and pleasant! They made our dream and vision a reality. We finished our attic into a master bedroom with a full bath, walk in closet and a beautiful spiral stairs that has now turned our ranch into a custom home and it looks wonderful! Tom, Phill, Cassandra, Theresa, Andrew, and the entire TAK Team are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am probably (hopefully?) in the unique position of saying TAKK built my house twice. I bought the original house they constructed, which was amazing. Then an unfortunate fire (which started at the house next door) spread to my house & destroyed my place. Tom was one of the first people I called, and he assured me that they'd rebuild it & make it look like new. He kept his promise - and then some. The TAKK team worked diligently to not only put things back the way they were, but painstakingly oversaw elements that weren't in the original construction to make sure I could forget about the unfortunate incident & enjoy my home even more. Great attention to detail. Everything feels very "solid." Highest recommendation.

Beatidul office Down to earth staff. Super friendly and knowledgeable. All project sizes and budgets.

Our experience with Tom and his crew at TAKK was amazing! It was a very delicate situation that they handled with care. My 90 year old parents had a remodel done of their ancient master bath and they were very professional and respectful of their time and space. They showed up when they said they would and explained any issues to me so that I could explain and prepare them then for each step. I’d like to give a big Thank You to Taso!! He was always available for any questions we had and he even stopped by after hours to look into a situation that ultimately was a plumbing issue. He helped get a plumber out there in less than 24 hours & the flood in the basement was corrected. Their bathroom turned out beautiful and the workmanship is impeccable. I would definitely use them for any construction or remodel & highly recommend them to friends (as I already have).

Tom and the Takk team are truly outstanding. We hired them last year for a full downstairs and kitchen remodel, and they exceeded our expectations from start to finish. They delivered exactly what they promised, stayed on schedule, and were extremely attentive to every detail.

What really set them apart was their support even after the project was completed. We had a few very minor issues, and they never hesitated to come back out to fix everything — always promptly and professionally — and never once made us feel like we were a nuisance. Their care for their customers genuinely shows.

I can’t recommend them enough for anyone looking for high-quality work, great people, and total peace of mind.

Takk did amazing work in our home. We were impressed with them as a company from start to finish. They delivered everything we wanted plus more (plus more as we added many curve ball to the original project, but they never flinched!). I highly recommend using Takk.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"We couldn’t be happier with our home renovation! The team at TAKK reconfigured our second floor to add a third bedroom and move a bathroom, completed a full kitchen remodel, and upgraded two additional bathrooms, transforming our home into exactly what we envisioned. The project was finished on time and within budget, likely due to a very thorough estimating process which included all major trade-subcontractors joining in person during the pre-bid meeting. Communication was clear and consistent, and every question we had was answered promptly. Tom, Andrew, Phil, Jamie, Denise, and Cesar were great to work with. From setting expectations for each step of the project, to suggesting small improvements that make a big difference, their professional knowledge and commitment to quality was exemplary! They were willing to leverage inspiration photos for custom under stair storage and a coffee bar for example, and receptive to other homeowner requests, such as reviewing bathroom tile for variation and color layout prior to installation. The craftsmanship is outstanding, we have been living here for 6 months with no issues; the kitchen is stunning and highly functional, and the bathrooms added a modern, luxurious touch. At one point Phil set the expectations to “trust their process – they (TAKK) want us to love our project and will make sure that we do”. They achieved that promise – WE LOVE IT! If you’re looking for a home renovation contractor, we highly recommend the team at TAKK!"!

TAKK did a great job with built in cabinets!! Tom and his team were extremely professional and easy to work with. They provided the highest quality of work and finished the project on time. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with TAKK. We would recommend them to anyone!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you ! to Tom and the entire Takk team for making our dream home a reality! We chose Takk to renovate our entire home and From the very first consultation we knew we made the right choice. Tom, phil and Andrew were professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about our project. They really listened to us and knew our vision. We were a little nervous taking on such a big project but the entireTakk team is a well oiled machine and made it such a smooth and enjoyable journey for us. Between the proficient office staff Jamie,Denise and Teresa handling all the paperwork and behind the scenes details to Tom taking the time out of his busy day to accompany us at showrooms offering his knowledge and expertise to help guide us in creating our beautiful home. Throughout the entire project we never felt alone. Every text, phone call or email no matter how big or small was always answered promptly and our project supervisor Taso was on top of everything,he totally rocked it! A big thank you to Cesar his talent is endless. We are totally in love with all the beautiful detailed trim work throughout our home especially the coffered ceilings which brought our kitchen to a whole new level. We are so happy we chose Takk! We asked for a craftsman and They delivered a beautiful final project! Our dream home is better than we could have even imagined. The talent and attention to detail that Tom and his entire team delivered is nothing short of incredible! They truly are Takk Tight!

Cannot speak more highly of Tom + the TAKK team. They listened to all of my requests, every customization and special detail, and made them all come to life. They were goal focused from the very first day, provided updates for my fiancé and I, and made the home renovation (and addition!!!) process so seamless. Would recommend them ten times over to anyone looking to create and/or upgrade their dream home!!!

My wife and I decided to go with the TAKK team after meeting with multiple well-known, full service contractors. For us the decision to choose TAKK was an easy one. From the initial meeting I could tell that Tom and Phil were professional and courteous. Their approach to the process is grounded in the idea that they are serving their customers, and this is evident in all aspects of what they do. My biggest fear going into this project was the trust that I would be placing on whomever we ended up choosing with our home. I knew it would be a big commitment, both financially as well as emotionally. Tom and his team assuaged our fears immediately as they worked with us to shape the vision of our new home. Phil was a consummate professional throughout the many different proposal revisions, never once showing any sign of frustration or hesitation. "My pleasure" was all we heard. In fact, it may be the phrase that we heard most often from the TAKK team. After more than 2 years of back and forth due to various township imposed hurdles we were finally cleared to start the work. The TAKK team stuck with us and supported us throughout the entire pre-planning process, and once the work began, so did the fun. There is no better word to describe it. My wife and I enjoyed every single aspect of the project. Cesar and his team are true masters of their craft and it is clear that they take pride in everything they do. The jobsite was clean every day no matter if it was the 1st day of a week's worth of demo, or the day the drywall was sanded. We loved working with Tom to help us make our decisions and it was a huge help for us to have someone with all of his experience. We learned so much about the process and the right way to do things. To make things even easier, all we had to do was tell Denise what we wanted and she coordinated it all. Jamie and Terry kept a detailed ledger so we always knew where we stood with our budget. Team TAKK is truly a full service construction team. We will absolutely use the TAKK team again and I would refer them to anyone that is looking to renovate their home, especially if they have the same fear as I had before we started the process.

UPDATE: It’s a year later and my wife and I are still in awe about how our house has turned out. We still cannot believe that it’s our house. Even better, Google Photos keeps showing us the pictures from “one year ago today” and the photos bring back such great memories of the process. I cannot quantify the gratitude that we have that these are not photos that conjure up stress due to memories of contractor delays, overages and one-way communication. Good vibes only with the TAKK team. Thanks again TAKK!

From the very first meeting, Tom and the TAKK team were absolutely incredible. They truly understood our vision and were committed to delivering nothing less than perfection. Throughout the entire process, it felt like we had known them for years—from the team helping us set up a temporary kitchen in our garage to Tom playing football with my boys in the yard.
Tom and the TAKK crew were exceptionally meticulous about keeping our home clean, allowing our family of five to live comfortably during the renovation. Their efficiency and keen attention to detail were impressive.
Now, our new kitchen is nothing short of a dream come true!

Professionalism from TAKK is top notch.

Tom and the entire Takk team completely renovated our kitchen and added a great room to our home. This renovation is a dream come true. We absolutely love the outcome and are truly grateful to the entire Takk team for bringing our dream to reality.

We can't express enough how pleased we are with TAKK. It's like a well oiled machine. Sticking to the schedule is an understatement. The workers are very polite and do great work. They are masters in their craft. We are having our master bath redone and it is looking amazing! The only problem is that I want more areas done in my house now! Lol. Great job and we will definitely recommend you to everyone we know.

We hired Takk to remodel our bathroom, and we could not be happier with the results. Tom was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when working with us on our design. His crew was polite, neat, and organized. I cannot sing their praises enough. The best part was that they provided a detailed schedule at the start of the project which they followed like clockwork. I would definitely recommend them for any project. They are the tip of the spear in home remodeling.

Thank you Tom and the rest of the team at TAKK for taking my 1970s bathroom from drab to fab. After living with this dated bathroom for a long time I could see it was just getting worse and that it was time to finally have it taken care of. I always knew when I was ready to have my bathroom redone that I would use TAKK Enterprises because Tom (the owner) was the only one I would trust. Tom and Phil were attentive, professional and understanding of my concerns of possible damage they may find during demolition. They assured me that they would keep me up to date during the process and would notify me if they encounter any issues. They always made me aware of what would be the next step in the process which made me feel so at ease. Tom and Phil both showed up on the first day to make sure everything was going as planned and see if I had any questions. The crew was so considerate and professional as they installed sheeting across the living room rug and hall to the bathroom. Everything went as planned just as they told me and was all swept and tools put away each night. Thank you for your professionalism, expertise, craftsmanship and keen eye for detail; I absolutely love my new bathroom and am proud to say it was done by Takk Enterprises.

I had my entire home renovated by Takk and it turned out beautifully. The contractors were all excellent and professional throughout the process and I recommend this company wholeheartedly.

Tom and his team at Takk have proven time and again that they are THE people to call for any job. Over the past year and a half, we’ve had the pleasure of watching the Takk team exhibit their skills and pay extra attention to detail, whether it was while installing our new kitchen tile and island, refinishing our hardwood floors, or replacing our roof and gutters (to name a few projects). We feel totally and completely comfortable that Takk is giving us a fair price and is completing the work with a level of care for the outcome that rivals ours. The Takk team is courteous, extremely knowledgeable, timely, honest, and understanding. When the time comes to redesign our bathroom or refinish our basement, we’ll be giving Takk another call to help guide us from the initial design through to the operation of the final product!

The talented team at TAKK just completed our renovation which included a second story addition. I have to say our home is an absolute Show Stopper! We converted a 3 bedroom ranch into a 5 bedroom Modern Farmhouse and it’s gorgeous. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Tom and the entire team at TAKK. They were there to support and guide us through the entire process. Tom’s vision and attention to detail is outstanding. He is so client focused and an absolute perfectionist. He insists the work is done right and will do anything to make his clients happy. The subs that came in were also excellent. I was completely amazed how Ceasar and the finishing guys came in and wrapped up the project so quickly and beautifully. We provided inspo pictures and boy did they deliver. Our custom hood, fireplace & laundry room all came out even more amazing than we could have imagined. If you’re looking to do a renovation big or small you will not go wrong with these guys. A construction company you can trust & an absolute pleasure to work with.
The BEST!!!!!!!

Update 10/29/23: It’s now been about 13 years since I have been dealing with Tom (owner of TAKK). Throughout this time if I needed advice, repairs or enhancements to my home Tom has always been there for me. Now that my family and I have recently moved from our house where Tom and his team put on our addition, I can testify that all the improvements were all done with expert craftsmanship.
Now that we are settling in our new home, Tom will be the first person who I call for all my future home improvements!!!
So if you’re looking for a top notch person…an honest person who does quality work then give Tom a call.

Original Post 2017 - We have been dealing with Tom at TAKK Enterprises Inc.over the last 7 years and continue to be impressed with the quality and craftsmanship he provides. From constructing our 1,200 sq ft addition to recently installing a sliding door in our family room we couldn't be more happier with the quality and fair pricing Tom has provided us. I highly recommend TAKK from small to large projects!!!

TAKK is the best in the business!! We chose TAKK because right off the bat we felt extremely comfortable with the entire company. TAKK took a home that had been smoked in for 20 plus years and turned it into a beautiful open concept ranch. They removed a load bearing wall that separated the kitchen and living, did a complete kitchen renovation with all new counter tops, cabinets, flooring and appliances. Next were the 1 and a half bathrooms. Both were complete gut jobs and updated with all new flooring bath fixtures and lights. All three bedrooms were updated with a beautiful paint job and ceiling fans. The job was capped off with brand new baseboards and a complete sand and stain job for the hardwood flooring that was throughout the house. We initially had Phil L come to our residence for preliminary walkthrough and from the first meeting he was awesome. He answered every question me and my wife had and never made us feel stupid for asking questions, like some contractors do. Phil L was involved the entire step of the way from the estimates until we got the key to our completely renovated home. The owner of the company TOMMY TAKK!! Treated our project like it was his own home and even made multiple check ins with us to make sure everything was going smooth. Our project manager, Phil C also was super helpful when it came time to bring our project to life, always double checking to make sure it was done correct. I can’t say enough about this company and the employees, from the owner Tommy all the way down to the ladies in the office. I would recommend them to anybody looking to do any home project big or small!

We had TAKK completely redesign our kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. From start to finish the entire team was amazing! They walked us through every step, explained what was needed and going to happen, answered all our questions and completed the project faster than expected. We cannot be happier with the outcome! We absolutely love our kitchen and new layout! We will be using them for every project going forward and can’t wait to work with them again! Tom, Phil and Denise are all amazing! Thank you so much for all your hard work and to Cesar for taking the time to build a beautiful hood to match the cabinets. Absolutely stunning work!

Tom, and his team, Phil, Denise, and Terri, run a company with integrity and with the customer in mind in every phase of the project. We had a special circumstance where the original planned project was changed and then even the secondary project was changed due to an illness that made the projects unnecessary. Through all the various changes the Takk team was able to morph things along with us and accomplish scheduling miracles at times. It was a really tough time for us to be going through a loss and at the same time trying to make something of a project halted in the first third of construction that fit our needs and wants. The Takk team was patient and compassionate throughout and it made the project easier on us at that tough time. Use this company and you won’t be disappointed.

Tom and crew did a Great job on our kitchen renovation.Very detail oriented and clean .Tom is a wealth of information. If you want top notch work call Takk Enterprises.
